Beautiful Wedding at the Sioux Falls Cathedral
There isn’t anything better than a beautiful wedding at the Sioux Falls Cathedral. I mean, when Hope and Brandon contacted me and told me their wedding was there, I jumped of pure joy.
The Wedding Day
The day is September 3 2022. The location, Sioux Falls, South Dakota. The weather is absolutely fantastic, one of those days where fall is knocking on the door but the weather hasn’t realized it quite yet. 70+ degrees of beauty and not a single cloud… I mean, it doesn’t get any better than that right?
For her wedding colors, Hope chooses a combination of blush and emerald green; she uses her grandma’s ring for her “something blue”. A beautiful crucifix hangs from her neck because, as her sister mentioned during her speech: “Faith and Hope play a big part on this family”.
Also, Brandon and the guys are wearing blue suits with floral ties. Everything combines perfectly. After a very emotional catholic wedding ceremony, they leave the church in Brandon’s red Corvette, and come back to take more pictures with their loved ones. Everyone is happy and we run almost an hour ahead of schedule. (Yes, as a wedding photographer, this is a dream come true!).
The Reception
They held their reception at the Holiday Inn in Brandon, South Dakota. Everything is decorated tastefully and the food is amazing. The speeches makes us all cry. The dances do too.
As expected, the night ends with me saying a sad goodbye to my couple and my heart breaks a little bit. I know they are happy and in love, but I am going to miss talking to them so often. Once more, I have to let them go and move on to the next couple.
Hope and Brandon, thanks for letting me be part of your day. Sometimes the best stories are the ones that you find by coincidence.
