Gabby+Riley

2021 Engagement season is on full blast. Last week was the turn of Gabby and Riley and their romantic summer lake engagement session! You see when I met these two I knew their session was going to be special since the beginning.

Gabby requested a shoot with summer feels and we decided on one of the prettiest lakes around our dear Sioux Falls. As usual, I asked if they would be willing to get in the water because I know the magic that can happen when you put two people in love inside the lake during sunset. They did not disappoint. Despite the fact that Riley thought I was joking (I never joke about plans to get a good shot) they both went for it big time and we made the little area of Wall Lake, South Dakota, our mini beach session for the evening.

We might not have very long summers in the Midwest, but we definitely use them well! If, like Gabby and Riley, you also want a summer lake engagement session, be sure that you talk to each other about the expectations of it, be sure you bring towels to dry after and be sure your photographer is in for it!

Enjoy this little summer lake engagement with hints of The Little Mermaid on it (especial mention to the scene where Ariel saves prince Eric from the water!) . Their wedding is on June next year at Calico Skies Winery and I can’t wait to see what they have prepared for me to capture.
