Erin + Tommy

Summer Wedding at Blue Haven Barn

Ok everyone, hold onto your bouquets, because I’ve got a heartwarming scoop for you. Picture this: a sunny day, a gorgeous barn in the heart of Sioux Falls, SD, and a love story that’s straight out of a rom-com. I hope you guys are ready to know everything about Erin and Tommy’s drop-dead gorgeous wedding day at Blue Haven Barn. Grab your tissues and your dancing shoes, because this wedding is a good one!

The Details

First off, let’s talk about Erin’s bridal details. Sage green and lavender were the stars of the show, and let me tell you, they played their roles to perfection. From the delicate floral arrangements to the bridesmaids’ dresses, everything was on point. Erin looked like an actual goddess in her gown (check out that cape!!), and Tommy? Well, let’s just say he scrubbed up nicely in his grey suit.

The Day

But hold up, let’s not forget about the weather gods who were clearly on Erin and Tommy’s side. The sun was shining without scorching everyone’s skin off, which is basically a miracle in itself (my wedding the following day was not like that weather-wise!).

Now, can we talk about that sunset? Oh. Em. Gee. If sunsets were currency, this one would’ve been a whole vault of gold. After Erin and Tommy exchanged their vows, the sky turned into a painting of oranges and purples that could put even the most exquisite Instagram filter to shame. Seriously, it was like the universe wanted to show off just for them.

The Bridal Party

Okay, now onto the good stuff—the bridal party and the ceremony. Big bridal party that let me wanting to spend even more time with them. These guys weren’t just any bridal party; they were a squad of party-starters, dance-floor dominators, and all-around fun-makers. From here I just want to thank them for the great day me and my second shooter spent and how much they helped!

The Ceremony

Let’s not skip over the ceremony, because emotions were running higher than the heels on Erin’s shoes. Erin and Tommy decided to avoid the first look and see each other for the first time when she walked down the aisle, and let me tell you: there wasn’t a dry eye in the barn.

All in all, Erin and Tommy’s summer wedding at Blue Haven was nothing short of magical. From the stunning details to the romantic ceremony, every moment was infused with love, laughter, and a healthy dose of happy tears. And as the sun dipped below the horizon, it was clear that this was a day that deserved to be blogged!

I don’t even know where to begin.. these photos are exquisite. There just isn’t any other word to describe what an amazing job Patty did on our photos. When we got engaged so many married couples told us to skimp on almost everything else and get a great photographer. So the hunt was on!! I attended a couple of bridal expos and Patty was at the bridal show at Blue Haven in February. I could see her photos displayed from the door as we walked in. They were absolutely stunning and I knew I had to have her as our photographer. When I asked her what she had available for 2023, sadly she told me that she was completely booked for the 2023 wedding season. To say I was devastated was an understatement. A couple of months later when Tommy and I started really narrowing down all of our vendors, I decided to reach out to Patty again hoping that maybe she could refer us to another really great photographer. She told me that she had a couple that broke up recently, asked for the date of our wedding, but told me not to get my hopes up because it was very likely that it wouldn’t be the same date. Lo and behold, that was the date that opened up and we booked her that same day. 🙂 Patty, you captured every beauty, emotion and feeling of our special day and because of that, we will be able to relive that day through these photos for years & years & years to come. You will forever be the one reach out to for all of our future photos as well. You’re the BEST! 💗 Erin & Tommy
