Andee + Drew
Wedding season has started and last Saturday was Andee and Drew’s turn to tie the knot! Their wedding was during a gorgeous Spring day in Downtown Sioux Falls. They also had a beautiful catholic ceremony at the Sioux Falls Cathedral. Would you like to know how a perfect wedding without drama happened? Keep reading!
The Day
Spring has sprung! Andee and Drew’s downtown wedding happened on that first day of spring that South Dakotans have been waiting for so long. Obviously, with snow gone, love is in the air and even after the day woke up cloudy, Andee never worried about it one bit. She had been waiting so long to marry the love of her life that a few clouds were not going to ruin her day. As perfect as it was, the sun came out right at sunset time, so they even got beautiful sunset photos right next to their venue.
The Ceremony
They had their ceremony at the Sioux Falls Cathedral and what can I say? No other church in Sioux Falls is like this one. The light is always perfect (even on a cloudy day!) and the staff is always a treat to work with (Thank you again for everything Mary!). Everyone was so happy to be there for Andee and Drew and I have to admit getting lost into the readings that the couple chose for their especial day. This church has for sure a especial magic around it.
The Reception
First time for me doing a wedding at the Downtown Hilton in Sioux Falls! I have been eyeballing this venue for a while and even though I have taken photos of events here before, I have never done a wedding, so this was a first for me! I was very surprised to see the beautiful ball room decorated for such a celebration and the staff was by far, the most pleasant to work with I have ever seen! Not a single thing went wrong and the afternoon flew by in no time.
Andee and Drew also decided to split entertainment between the Djs from Complete Media and the talented guys from Dueling Duo and let me tell you: These guys know how to throw a party!!
Andee and Drew were the perfect couple to kick off my 2023 wedding season. I will miss them and their family deary… gosh I wish I cold hire some of them to do weddings with me! (Lorna and Brooke, I am looking at you two!). Enjoy a little peek of Andee and Andre’s downtown Sioux Falls wedding. I am so happy I got to be there for them!
