Makayla + Aaron
Ok everyone, settle in and let me paint a picture of the most amazing summer barn wedding I just had the pleasure of photographing at Meadow Barn. I’m not sure if you’ve ever been at the barn, but with the apple trees almost in full bloom, Makayla and Aaron’s day was nothing short of magical.
The couple
Makayla and Aaron’s love story began back in high school and is now blossoming as they embark on their journey to med school together. Talk about relationship goals! I met them over a year ago now and I can say to you that I had been waiting for their day eagerly since they booked me… I knew their wedding was going to be a good one!
The ceremony
The ceremony was held outside the barn within the natural beauty of the trees. Makayla looked incredible in her gown from True Society, and Aaron was absoolutely smitten as she walked down the aisle with her dad.
My favorite part of the day by far, was seeing them sharing a kiss in front of everyone on their way out of the ceremony. Planned ahead of time with me? Absolutely. Worth it? Totally. A shot that is worth doing!
The reception
After that, we moved indoors for the reception. I have done lots of weddings here but The Meadow Barn is a place that never stops amazing me because of its beauty. For Makayla’s day, it was adorned with twinkling lights and fresh wildflowers. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, like stepping into a fairytale scene almost.
The evening was filled with laughter, tears of joy and moments of pure magic. Makayla and Aaron radiated happiness as they celebrated surrounded by their closest family and friends.
The extras
I want to make a especial mention here to our baker Ashley Bakes, that sent the cake with one of the bridesmaids directly from Kansas City and was nervous about it arriving in one piece. Ashley, don’t worry. Not only the cake made it perfectly in shape, it looked INCREDIBLE (and by the faces of the bride and groom, tasted incredible too).
As the sun set over the apple orchard, casting a golden glow over the festivities, I couldn’t help but feel privileged to witness such a beautiful celebration of love. Makayla and Aaron, I really hope your life together be as radiant and full of joy as your wedding day. Please call me next time you need a photographer… I would love to keep capturing your life!
