Retro vibe wedding at the Icon Lounge

I have been shooting back to back weddings for four weeks now and this was my last one before a two week break. Let me tell you: It was one to end with!! The energy and joy left me so thankful for the sweet couples that I get to call my clients! Jackie and Geoff got married this past weekend… and if you think they seem happy in these images you should see how happy they are in real life. They are the truly the cutest couple: totally obsessed with one another in the best way and you could just feel how ready they were to celebrate with everyone this huge step in their lives!

When Jackie called me, she mentioned that their wedding was retro-inspired and I just loved that. It’s fun when couples do something a little different from all of the trends! They hired Audra from Serendipitous Events to take care of everything, and they knocked it out of the park! Their venue (Icon Lounge, in the heart of Sioux Falls, South Dakota) played into this inspiration perfectly. Their main event area was an amazing backdrop for their ceremony and reception! Over my thirteen years as a wedding photographer in South Dakota, I have shot here several times but nothing like this one! The decor, the combination of neutral plus pink tones, and the light were just perfect!
